GREATER DES MOINES HIKE

Thank you to everyone that participated in the 2008 Hike to Help Refugees in Des Moines on May 10.  This was our first annual hike and we successfully raised $4,304.36.  Of this amount, $1,233.35 went to the Des Moines Lutheran Family Services to benefit refugees relocated to Des Moines.

For the year of 2008 the Hike to Help Refugees organization raised over $17,000 and in six years of hikes raised over $84,000 with the likelihood of positively impacting over 5,250 refugees.
